Menu Planning: 12/26-1/1/11

What has Cheap Thrills planned for this week?

End of the Year!  Beginning of the Year!  Christmas Vacation Week!  We got it goin’ on this week.  Activities galore, so I’m glad DH has the week off to supervise that stuff, and maybe cook the noodles or something before I get home.  Here’s what’s on our menu:

Sunday:  Herbed, oven-baked chicken breasts (<$1 for 4#), stuffing (.48), carrots (~.75), eggnog per request (??)

Monday:  Spaghetti (.25) with meatballs in spicy sauce ($1), salads (.50)

Tuesday:  Grilled cheese (FREE) sandwich (.10) and tomato soup (.08)

Wednesday:  Not sure yet….likely out while running errands

Thursday:  Big Bowl Game:  tortilla chips (.99) with dip ($1.50), bbq wings (.35 for sauce, wings FREE), hot wings (.25 for sauce, wings FREE), riblets (FREE), chicken fingers ($1 for chicken tenders), potato skins (.50)

Friday:  Grilled steaks (~$3 for all), potatoes (.50), maxed-out salads ($1), champagne (??), cheesecake ($2.50)

Saturday:  Hot Lave (DH’s famous split pea soup) ($1.50 for 3 meals) with ham (leftover), spaetzle ($2), beer bread (!$1)
