Menu Planning: 11/28-12/5/10

What has Cheap Thrills planned for this week?

I start a new work assignment this week, which takes me to 5 pm, M-F.  Since this is unusual for me and my family, I’ve designed a menu plan to take advantage of prepared meals on hand, ingredients in the freezers and pantries, and my wonderful appliances.  I am blessed to have a family that knows how to help in the kitchen, so that will help immensely.  Adjustments across the board, and while this should last through the first of the year, I am quite prepared.  Here’s what’s on the menu:

Sunday:  Meatball sandwiches (meatballs $1, whole wheat hoagies .99), salads (.50)

Monday:  Frozen casserole of turkey, stuffing, and vegs (made w/leftovers), carrots (.25)

Tuesday:  Frozen teriyaki pork loin roast (2.50), rice (.10/serving), peas & carrots (.59)

Wednesday:  Frozen baked potato soup (did not have Saturday) ($3), beer bread ($1)

Thursday:  Baked Italian marinated chicken thighs (FREE), garlicky broccoli (.59), spaghetti squash (.39/#)

Friday:  Turkey meatloaf (3.29), cheesy pasta (.57), salads (.50)

Saturday:  Crock Pot beef roast (1.88/#), potatoes (FREE leftover from campout), carrots (.25)
