Menu Planning: 11/21-11/27/10 — Thanksgiving Edition

What has Cheap Thrills planned for this week?

Chilly!  No other word for it.  And my meals this week are easy and hot!  Bird’s in the fridge, sides are all planned, and DH has even made the pumpkin pie already!  It’s just us for Thanksgiving this year (a nice break for our little family), so if some of the sides don’t get made, we can make them to have with the leftovers.  The pizza on Wednesday is a family tradition: why not make it easy amid the feast preparations?  Here’s what I have planned:

Sunday:  Cheesy Ham and Potato casserole (from last week; don’t ask) (FREE ham, hash browns .59, soup .16, cheese 1/2 of .99), green beans (.25)

Monday: beef patties with gravy (2.00), mashed potatoes (FREE), carrots (.50)

Tuesday:  herbed pork loin (~$3), veg/rice pilaf (.49), broccoli (.25)

Wednesday:  homemade pizza with frozen Rhodes dough (kids can put it together) (dough .75, cheese .98, sauce leftover, ‘shrooms .59, Italian sausage $1)

Thursday:  Thanksgiving Day!  Turkey, stuffing, smashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, green salad, crescent rolls, pumpkin pie, cookies (no totals yet)

Friday:  leftovers from Thanksgiving during The Game

Saturday:  Baked Potato Soup, (about $3 for the pot), French bread (.42), green salad (.50)
