Menu Planning: 11/14-11/21/10

What has Cheap Thrills planned for this week?

November finally made an appearance over the weekend, with about 2″ of snow, and some of it is still sticking around.  The weather is very cold, and very wet, and it’s here to stay.  So, heartier foods with bold flavors and rib-stickin’ power are on the menu.  Here’s what I have planned:

Sunday:  Bacon-Wrapped Chicken (chicken 1.33/#, bacon 1.88, cream cheese 1/2 of .58, pepper jack FREE), Make-Ahead Twice-Baked Potatoes (potatoes .25, cream cheese 1/2 of .58, cheddar 1/2 of .99), green beans (.34)

Monday: Crusty Parmesan Flounder Fillets (fish <3.50), wild rice and veg “pilaf” (.49), salads (.50)

Tuesday:  Dinner on the run ?? — errands, kids dentist, school concert — ACK!

Wednesday:  Sausage (.75), kraut (.59), potatoes (.25) Crock Pot

Thursday:  Chicken (.50) taco bake (.55 for the mix — yes, I’m cheating this week), green salads (.50)

Friday:  Cheesy Ham and Potato Casserole  variation (FREE ham, hash browns .59, soup .16, cheese 1/2 of .99), carrots (.50)

Saturday:  Grilled steaks (~3.50), potatoes (.50), salads (.50)
