You know, in addition to an e-mail to Hall's regarding that one coupon, you may want to consider a letter to the store manager (it looks to be a fairly small chain, no?) setting out exactly why you are dissatisfied with your "shopping experience" - by actual snail mail, if there's no e-mail address available, maybe even with a copy to your local newspaper. That would depend, I guess, on just how steamed you are, and how much effort you want to put in to voicing your opinion. I'm with you, in that there's never any excuse for deceitful, unethical business practices (I closed a business rather than resort to that), and I would certainly not be too eager to shop that store again any time soon, either. Ultimately, you vote with your dollars - I don't like the way XYZ Store does business, so I refuse to give them my money. At the end of the day, you have to follow your conscience, even if it's inconvenient. Hello.
