Awesome LEGO Sculptures at Lauritzen Gardens

January 27, 2013 at 9:49 AM 1 comment

This spring, Lauritzen Gardens sponsors Nature Connects, which includes giant LEGO sculptures among the garden displays.  This is an incredible thing to see.

Last summer (yes, in the midst of 100+ temps) I took my son and a friend to Ames, Iowa to see a similar display at the arboretum at Iowa State University.  Now we can enjoy it in nicer climes and closer to home.

The display runs February 2 – May 19, 2012; garden hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.  Regular admission applies and is free for members.  Remember that Easter, Mother’s Day and spring breaks will provide extra opportunities to enjoy.

We went to the display in Ames, too, and sounds like it was just as hot a day as you might have went! Really neat, though, and will definately take advantage of going here . . .Thanks for the heads up!
